CPRE Mendip District group was revived in Spring 2011 and we meet regularly to consider contentious planning applications and to discuss long term issues affecting rural Mendip.
One of the Group’s first tasks was to look at Mendip District Council’s draft Core Strategy and put together a response by the deadline of 31st March 2011.
The group was particularly concerned at the scale of some proposed housing developments and how they would impact on Mendip’s villages and towns.
