The skies were cloudy for our 2026 Stargazing Night but we still had a great time

Once again, we teamed up with our friends, the Somerset Levels Stargazers, to bring you a night with the stars at Middlezoy Village Hall in February.  Unfortunately, the weather was not kind with lashing rain and not a star in sight – but in winter 2026, that’s no surprise!

Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable evening.

There were still some very impressive telescopes to check out and various displays and activities led by Jo Richardson from Space Detectives

We also had some fascinating talks, including award-winning Landscape Astrophotographer, Josh Dury, and Cllr Nick O’Donnell, with his big dreams to add a moveable model of Halley’s comet to the Somerset space Walk.

Thanks to everyone who came along and braved the weather.
