2024 photo competition – now closed for judging

This year we were looking for photos that show your love of the Somerset countryside all year round, rain or shine.

The competition is now closed and our judges will be making their choices soon.  Watch this space for updates and announcements.

We all know that, whatever the time of year, what ever the weather, getting out and about in the fresh air makes everything better. Getting outside gives you space to think, the opportunity to stretch your mind as well as your legs. Any time is a good time for a walk and a chat with friends, whether you are basking in the sunshine or sheltering under the trees, waiting for the rain to stop!

So, for this year’s photo competition, we are looking for photos that capture your special times in Somerset in all seasons.

Our favourite photos will be ones including people, activities or close up details of special things – no empty landscapes, please.

Photos must be taken in the county of Somerset in the last two years.

There are two prizes of £100 in two age categories – adult and under 18s.

Competition entry is FREE and you can send us up to three photos.

Closing date is 30th September 2024. Winners to be announced in the autumn.
