People and Places – we tell Somerset Council what we think

People and places – these are the key things being considered in a new consultation by Somerset Council.

The end result will be a set of design principles to guide developers towards creating attractive and high-quality environments.  These should also be inclusive and accessible places for all, regardless of age, gender, mobility, or background, where people enjoy living.

Here at CPRE Somerset, we wholeheartedly support this move and have submitted our detailed comments to help steer the guidelines in the right direction.  We all need places to live and work and play and we hope that as many people as possible will take part in the consultation to ensure we can expect the best possible developments here in Somerset.  Somerset Council’s consultation is open until 16th October 2023.  Have your say!
