Now everyone can help to keep our green spaces litter free

If the last two years have taught us anything, it is the value of our green spaces.  Sadly, the easing of lockdown restrictions last year also meant the return of litter to our favourite places.  infuriating, isn’t it?

Now you can do something about this and spend a couple of minutes clearing up as part of your visit. We are very proud to have set up #2minute Litterpick Stations at popular Somerset beauty spots.  The boards are equipped with litterpickers and reusable bags for anyone to borrow and do their own #2minute clean up.  You can find our stations at:

These locations will act as guardians for these five stations. We are very grateful for their cooperation in this exciting new venture.  Thankyou to everyone who donated to our fundraising appeal to buy special sanitiser units for these stations. Thanks also to Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Brilliant Coast Project and South Somerset District Council for their contribution.

Our stations will proudly join over 800 similar stations around the UK, coordinated by the 2minute foundation – a charity dedicated to cleaning up our planet 2 minutes at a time.

If you are visiting any of these places, why not do a #2minute litterpick, don’t forget to take a photo and post it on social media using the hashtag #2minutelitterpick.
